Socrates Sculpture Park is located at the intersection of Vernon Boulevard and Broadway in Long Island City, Queens -- just minutes from midtown Manhattan and easily reached by the Long Island Expressway and the Brooklyn Queens Expressway.

From New York City by Car

From the Midtown Tunnel:
Stay right as you exit the tunnel and take Exit 14 (21st St./Long Island City). Follow 21st St. and make a left at the fourth traffic light, 46th Ave. Go two blocks and make a right onto Vernon Blvd. Follow Vernon Blvd. for approximately 1-1/2 miles to the intersection of Broadway.

From the Queensboro Bridge
Take the upper level, exit at 21st St., make a left on Broadway and go to the intersection of Vernon Blvd.

From the Long Island Expressway (Westbound) by Car:
Take Exit 15 (Van Dam St.), the last exit before the tollbooth for the Midtown Tunnel. Make a right at the first light, Van Dam St. Go 1 block and then make a left onto Hunter's Point Ave. Proceed along Hunter's Point Avenue and make a right onto 21st St. Follow 21st St. to 46th Ave. and make a left. Go 2 blocks and make a right onto Vernon Blvd. Follow Vernon Boulevard for approximately 1-1/2 miles to the intersection of Broadway.

From the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (Westbound) by Car:
Exit at the Long Island Expressway Westbound. Continue to Exit 15 (Van Dam St.), the last exit before the tollbooth for the Midtown Tunnel. Make a right at the 1st light, Van Dam St. Go 1 block and then make a left onto Hunter's Point Ave. Continue along Hunter's Point Avenue and make a right onto 21st St. Follow 21st St. to 46th Ave. and make a left. Go 2 blocks and make a right onto Vernon Blvd. Follow Vernon Blvd. for approximately 1-1/2 miles to the intersection of Broadway.

From the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (Eastbound) by Car:
Take the McGuiness Avenue exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp make a left onto McGuiness Ave. North. Continue on McGuiness Ave. across the Pulaski Bridge. As you come off the bridge, go straight onto 11th Street for 5 blocks to 46th Ave. and make a left. Go 1 block to Vernon Blvd. and make a right. Follow Vernon Blvd. for approximately 1-1/2 miles to the intersection of Broadway.

From Hudson:
Take the New York State Thruway (1-87) South to the Palisades Parkway South (Exit 13S). Take the Hudson Terrace exit toward the GW Bridge. Take I-87 (Exit 1C) toward the Major Deegan Expwy. Take the Major Deegan to I-278W Triboro Bridge/Manhattan/Queens. Take the Hoyt Ave. exit (Exit 3) off the bridge, turn right onto 29th Street, right onto Astoria Blvd, left onto 21st Street, right onto Broadway to Vernon Blvd.

By Subway from NYC:
Take the N or W train to the Broadway stop in Queens and walk eight blocks along Broadway toward the East River.

By Bus:
Q103, Q104 to Broadway and Vernon Boulevard.
Q19A to Broadway and 21st Street.
